It is much easier for a foreigner to buy a hotel in Switzerland than a chalet!

Foreigners are usually restricted to buying a chalet of a maximum of 200m2 of habitable space they are prohibited completely from buying in some resorts unless they have a Swiss residence permit.

However, foreigners may freely buy a hotel as this is a commercial activity.

La Pointe de Zinal is rated as a 2 star hotel and has 22 rooms.

It was built in 1966 and renovated in 1996. The hotel is ideally located at the entrance of Zinal and is part of the Minotel marketing chain. The hotel's 22 rooms are comprised of 16 rooms with showers and toilets, 3 rooms with a shower and 3 rooms with a wash basin.
