The Alps is quite unique in that it offers two completely different holidays in a year depending on the season. There is the winter for snow fun and skiing in the mountains and an opportunity for all the family to get together to enjoy traditional Christmas's in their Alpine retreat. The summer season is also hugely popular for rentals - there are more tourists in the Alps in the summer than in the winter - with fresh mountain air and green pastures with cows with bells, the Alps has breathtaking scenery and plenty of hiking and walking and swimming in the mountain lakes.

The Gastein valley lies within the Salzburg province of Austria. Bad Gastein is only 70 mins drive from Salzburg airport and is easily accessible by regular direct trains.
